Dabbling in Video

These are some videos I created. They are mostly fun projects I came up with to learn various programs and techniques, as well as what works stylistically and logistically.

"Wasted Year."

This is a music video I created for my friends' band, "American Princes" (on Yep Rock Records).  Everything in this video, save the music, was done by me. I built the sets from cardboard, did the lighting from X-mas lights, the animation, the filming and editing. There was no budget. my expenses were roughly $200.00 (mostly camera rental) and it took me 3 months.

"A Bear Magician."

This is a fun test project where I played with with stop motion animation and armature building. I dismantled a stuffed bear and made a new body for him out of wood and wire. Also, the music is original.

"A Quixotic Expression."

Another stop motion project done one night on the floor of my tiny room in San Francisco. The characters are finger puppets on sewing thread spools.

"Giacometti     Monster."

A short test animation overlay.

"Town Planning."

A practice video collage.
